Itinerary
Day 1: Arequipa – Viscachani – Chivay
Between 7:30 am and 8:00 am we will pick you up at your hotel, we will go to the Pampas Cañahuas reserve at 3000 masl, where we can observe Vicuñas and Alpacas. We will continue to the point known as Viscachani, where we can have a Coca tea or a hot coffee before continuing with our ascent to the highest point of the route, Mirador de los Andes 4800msnm, here we will make a stop to observe the entire valley and the mountains.
Then we will descend to the town of Chivay, a place for lunch. After lunch we will visit the thermal baths of La Calera that is surrounded by mountains with pools of varying temperatures of up to 80 degrees C. that are combined with river water to achieve a temperature of 38 degrees for the enjoyment of visitors.
At night we will go to the lodge. Dinner.
Day 2: Chivay – Cruz del Condor Viewpoint – Chivay – Arequipa
Breakfast 6:00 am, this day we will go to the natural viewpoint La Cruz del Cóndor, along the way we will have a very good view of the Colca River, the hanging tombs of the Inca period, beautiful terraces that are used by the inhabitants to this day. with more than 1000 years old.
After approximately 2 hours by bus we will arrive at the Mirador Cruz del Cóndor, where we will have time to see the largest bird in the world, the Condor, fly in its natural habitat.
