A tours to Machu Picchu is located in the jungle; In other words, it has a warm but at the same time humid climate, so the type of clothing that we recommend using is:
If you travel to Machu Picchu during the rainy season (November – April), the best option is to bring a raincoat as well as water and wind resistant clothing (Tour Peru).
Even if it’s hot in the morning, always carry a warm garment with you. It can be annoying having to carry it during the visit to Machu Picchu, but it is better to be prepared for the afternoon wind (Tour Peru).
Polo shirts and / or shirts with long sleeves (preferably) to avoid insect bites and / or annoying burns on the tours to Machu Picchu (Tour Peru).
Cap and sunglasses. A light, comfortable cap will keep you cool. The lenses will allow you to appreciate all the beauty of Machu Picchu without having to strain your eyes (Tour Peru).
Blocker and repellent. They are absolutely necessary, especially the repellent since the itching of the bites can ruin your visit to Machu Picchu. If you think that critters have a particular taste for you, I would also recommend not wearing short clothes of any kind (Tour Peru).
Don’t forget to bring lots of water! Staying hydrated with purified or bottled water is the best thing one can do to stay healthy and full of energy during the excursion to Machu Picchu.
