We start the day picking you up at your hotel at 06:30 a.m. We will drive for approximately 3 hours, crossing Poroy, Cachimayo, Ollantaytambo towards Abra Málaga. Through the windows of the bus, you can clearly see the city of Chinchero before falling into the Sacred Valley, where you can see the Urubamba Mountain Range for the first time (prepared to be impressed). We will cross the Urubamba river towards the city of the same name and continue towards Ollantaytambo (2,792 MASL- 9160 FASL) where you can have the first breakfast (not included) on the tour before continuing on and up along an impressive path and winding up to the top of the Abra Malaga Pass. This is the highest point of the trip (4,316 MASL-14160 FASL).

We reached the highest point and started preparing for one of the most exciting cycles after a 20-minute briefing by our experienced tour guide and providing you with reliable mountain bikes and protective gear as a full coverage helmet and potentially equipment for the body. A backup vehicle generally drives behind the group and if you get tired or want to stop you can get in the car and get off in the vehicle if you don’t want to go downhill on a bike. The route from the top of the Malaga pass to the final destination is all downhill 1,116 M-3661 F, downhill – and just under 55 km away, passing small towns, rivers, plantation fields and small streams towards the Huamanmarka archaeological complex (3200 MASL – 10498 FASL). From there, we continue our journey in our private bus for approximately 30 minutes until we reach our hostel. Located in the beautiful town of Santa María, where we will have our delicious lunch, free time in the afternoon or you will have the option of rafting (level III and IV, during April-November) on the Urubamba River, which crosses part of the jungle. The rafting price is not included in the tour.

After spending the night in our comfortable hostel, and freeing ourselves from any tiredness in our limbs and body, we will have a delicious breakfast with the best indigenous coffee prepared at home. The day will be relatively long in terms of distance (15 km – 9.3 miles), but at low altitude, Remember to use insect repellent, there will be several stops to learn a little more about the rich variety of flora and fauna that can be found in the region in which we find different species of exotic birds, in addition to a wide range of orchids and fruit trees such as bananas, oranges, palta (avocado) and coffee, among others. Remember that we will be in the jungle eyebrow, one of the areas rich in biological diversity on the planet. One of these stops will be a family home where we will rest for 30 minutes and stock up on more water and some regional tropical fruits. After resting for a bit, the hike continues with a steep and strenuous climb that gradually becomes flat, before continuing on a series of undulating trails, one of which is a true “Inca Trail”. The guide will not transport to the time of the Incas and will give explanations about the history of the Incas. The trail descends to Quellomayo, where the group will stop for lunch and have time to relax in the hammocks. Then the hike continues along the Urubamba River, crossing at one point in a oroya (cable car) for sure but exciting!  The sunrise will be in a tropical area surrounded by nature after a well-deserved rest in the town of Santa Teresa, there our breakfast awaits us ready to taste and then continue our trip towards Aguas Calientes also known as Machupicchu Pueblo, but this day begins with a choice. People can choose a 3-hour hike or a zip line through the canyons (optional). For those on a budget, the hike may be better, but the zip lines are something to behold and walking a canyon on a tightrope is scary, no matter who you are!

Whether you walk or take the lines, everyone meets again at the Hydroelectric where, after lunch, you continue walking along the great Inca roads, even walking along the famous railway lines.

Our goal will be to reach this town, it will take us approximately 7 hours and 14 km-8.7 miles, passing through the well-known rest center of the Hydroelectric power station, making stops at different places to simply appreciate the landscape and its full environment waterfalls with impressive falls which come from the glaciers, we will also have the first views of the terraces of Machu Picchu and Huaynapicchu; we will arrive in the afternoon to the mentioned town that is popularly known as «Aguas Calientes» we will have free time to get to know this beautiful town visit the squares, parks and the thermal baths of Aguas Calientes (the name comes by this) (optional), there we will pass the night at the foot of the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu between huge mountains and feeling the energy of the mountains around us. Perfeito!!!!!

As Vans eram confortáveis.

TOUR 7 LAGUNAS CON DIEGO GO!
