Itinerary
The payment of the service will be made in full one day before going on the excursion. Likewise, the schedules mentioned on our website, as well as the pick-up places may vary.
DAY 1.- CUSCO – MALDONADO – TAMBOPATA
Tambopata Jungle Tour 4 days starts in the city of Puerto Maldonado, where the guide will pick you up from the airport or the bus station. You will be taken to our office in Puerto Maldonado to register and provide your personal information. Then you can take a boat down the Madre de Dios River to reach our lodge located in the heart of the Puerto Maldonado jungle. Upon arrival at our lodge, you will settle in the comfortable rooms and also enjoy an exotic juice of the place.
After resting for time, you will go with your guide to visit the Tambopata Jungle. The guide will explain about the exuberant vegetation (some trees are more than 500 years old). You will also have the opportunity to appreciate wildlife such as macaws, monkeys, snakes, butterflies and other species. At night you and your guide will board a boat to observe nocturnal animals. After this experience we will return to the lodge and serve ourselves dinner.

DAY 2.- VISIT THE JUNGLE AND LAKE SANDOVAL
This day we get up very early at 5:30, to then climb our 40-meter-high tower. From the top you can see the different species of birds, such as macaws and eagles.
After breakfast we will visit the island of the monkeys, which is just crossing from our lodge. On the island of monkeys you can see different types of monkeys. Then you will take the boat back to go to the Tambopata National Reserve. After walking five kilometers, you will discover the wonderful Sandoval Lake. This place is a true wonder, where you will observe a great variety of animals, such as birds, monkeys, sloths.
After a typical lunch on the spot, you can explore the lake in a boat and observe the animals up close. If the weather accompanies us, you will observe the giant sloth (endangered animals) or the great black caiman (the largest, recorded with 5 meters long). You will be back at the lodge at sunset to enjoy your Dinner.

DAY 3.- PIRAÑAS AND CANOPY FISHING
After breakfast, you will go for a walk through the Tambopata Jungle and arrive at a small river where the fishing of killer piranhas is allowed. Then you will return to our lodge for lunch. After a nap, you can head back into the jungle for an exciting challenge. You will experience an adventure sport (zip line), together with your guide and also take the challenge of climbing the highest tree. Our specialist will provide you with the safety instructions and what is necessary to carry out this activity. Feel the adrenaline.

DAY 4.- LODGE – MALDONADO – CUSCO
The last day of the Tambopata Jungle Tour will take us to the jungle very early in the morning where we will appreciate the lick of parrots, macaws and more birds. After visiting the Tambopata National Reserve in the Peruvian jungle, we will return to the city of Puerto Maldonado. Here we will have free time to visit the local market and taste some tropical fruits of the place. Our guide will assist you at the airport or the bus station.

Recommendations:
We are not responsible in case flights are canceled due to bad weather, changes in itineraries or technical failures. Services start from the moment they arrive in Puerto Maldonado.
It is recommended to bring: Light clothing, long-sleeved shirts, long pants, hats, waterproof jacket, two pairs of sneakers, sunglasses, repellent, sunscreen, swimwear, boots, binoculars, flashlight, camera, water bottles, personal medications.
Luggage; Large suitcases will stay in our offices in Puerto Maldonado, our boats are for passengers only, we recommend bringing a small backpack with everything you need for your stay at the lodge.
Note: Check-out time is at 11:00, you can choose to stay at the hostel or leave early for Puerto Maldonado. Although lunch is not included on the last day, you can have lunch at the lodge (paying directly at the lodge). For more information, please contact the reception team.
